Deep Dive

Overview

This 22lr ammo is intended for small game and varmint hunting. A 40 grain hollow point is commonly used for targets such as squirrel and rabbit where expansion helps deliver effective energy transfer. The plated bullet profile supports consistent feeding in semi-automatic actions. This load works well in both rifles and pistols used for rimfire hunting. It can also be used for zeroing and field practice with the same ammunition carried into the hunt.

History and Development

Remington has produced rimfire ammunition for sporting and hunting use for many decades. The Golden line reflects a long-standing approach to rimfire hunting built around plated hollow point bullets. Over time, Remington has updated rimfire manufacturing methods to improve consistency and accuracy. Golden Hunter applies those refinements within a familiar 22 LR hunting configuration. The product remains part of Remington’s core rimfire hunting offerings.
