Deep Dive
Overview
As a subsonic cartridge, the Scorpion 300 Blackout Subsonic 220 Grain is crafted to provide a quieter shooting experience, especially when coupled with a suppressor. Subsonic rounds travel slower than the speed of sound, thereby reducing the "crack" of the bullet breaking the sound barrier, making them perfect for hunting game or tactical operations where stealth is of the essence. This ammunition is favored by shooters who prioritize sound suppression without sacrificing accuracy.
History and Development
The 300 Blackout cartridge was developed to mimic the ballistics of the standard 7.62x39mm round but optimized for the AR-15 platform. The subsonic variant, specifically, addresses the need for quieter shooting experiences. Scorpion Ammo has built on this foundation, offering subsonic ammunition that maintains consistent performance, allowing shooters to achieve their objectives more quietly and effectively.
