History and Development

Founded in 1980 as STI (Strayer-Tripp International), Staccato has evolved from a niche competition firearm manufacturer into a prominent name in the shooting industry. In 2019, the company introduced the "Staccato" brand for its duty and personal defense pistols, officially rebranding the entire company under this name in 2020. This transition reflects Staccato's commitment to precision engineering and reliability, qualities that have garnered trust from over 1,500 law enforcement agencies across the United States.

Expanding beyond firearms, Staccato ventured into ammunition production to provide shooters with high-quality, reliable options tailored to their pistols. The Staccato Match 9mm Luger 125 Grain Hornady Action Pistol (HAP) ammunition exemplifies this initiative. Developed in collaboration with Hornady, a renowned bullet manufacturer, this ammunition features the 125-grain HAP bullet, known for its accuracy and consistent performance. The HAP bullet, modeled after Hornady's XTP design, is refined for competition, offering a sleek profile and balanced projectile that ensures reliable feeding and exceptional accuracy.

Manufactured in the USA, Staccato Match ammunition is optimized for maximum reliability in 2011® platform pistols, delivering consistent 1-inch or smaller groups at 25 yards. This dedication to quality and performance underscores Staccato's mission to support shooters in achieving excellence, whether in competition or rigorous training scenarios.
