What is the muzzle velocity of Hyperion 12 Gauge grain Steel Shot?
This Hyperion 12 Gauge Steel Shot load is listed at 1430 fps. Muzzle energy is Not Provided in the verified specs, so velocity is the confirmed ballistic figure to use for comparison.
Is there a 12 gauge grain specification for this shotshell?
No grain weight is supplied in the verified specs. This shotshell is identified by its 1 oz shot charge, #7 Steel Shot payload, Shotgun Casing, and Shotgun Primer.
Is this 12 gauge ammo intended for target use?
Yes. The manufacturer copy identifies this as a range/target load in the 12 Gauge platform. As with any shotshell, confirm that the load, shot material, and shell configuration are appropriate for your shotgun.
Is this a steel-shot or lead-shot load?
This is a Steel Shot load. Steel shot uses a non-lead pellet material and may pattern differently than lead, so it is smart to verify firearm and choke compatibility before use.
Is the hull reloadable?
The manufacturer-stated features identify this shotshell as reloadable. The construction is described as brass/plastic, and reloaders should always follow safe, component-specific loading practices.
What packaging options are listed?
The verified packaging is Box of 25 or Case of 250. That gives you a box option for a focused range session and a case option for higher-volume planning.
About Hyperion 12 Gauge
This load is a 12 gauge shotshell loaded with Steel Shot rather than a slug. The #7 pellet size and 1 oz charge make the listing easy to evaluate for target work, while the 1430 fps velocity is the verified speed provided for this SKU.
Steel shot is generally chosen when a non-lead pellet material is required or preferred. The manufacturer copy identifies reloadable brass/plastic construction and positions the load for range and target use.
Because steel shot can pattern differently than lead shot, shooters should confirm compatibility with their shotgun and choke. For shoppers comparing hyperion ammo, the key takeaway is a clear steel-shot configuration with verified packaging in Box of 25 or Case of 250.
Choose this 12 Gauge steel-shot load from the Hyperion lineup when you want verified specs, target-focused construction, and a case option for steady range use. Add a box for a trial run or look at case quantities when stocking up on bulk ammo.
