I wanted to see
"I wanted to see how my Beretta PX4 would like steel cased ammo so I picked up a few boxes of this Turkish steel cased Wolf 124gr. Only one box in but it seems fine, maybe a bit dirty."

Why Shooters Choose Wolf Ammunition 9mm Luger
- Brass Plated Steel Case: This brass plated steel case ammo uses a steel case with brass plating, a construction specifically noted by the manufacturer. It is also magnetic, so range rules should be checked before use.
- Range And Plinking Use: Wolf Ammunition describes this load as suitable for range shooting and plinking. It is built around a Full Metal Jacket bullet, a common choice for practice ammunition.

- Non-Corrosive Boxer Primer: This Wolf Performance round uses a non-corrosive Boxer primer. That gives buyers a clear primer specification for routine shooting and storage expectations.
- Made In Turkey: Manufacturer information states this ammunition is loaded in Turkey at the Ozkursan plant. That gives shoppers clear origin information for this Wolf 9mm Luger load.
- Lead Bullet Information: Customer Q and A information states the bullet in this ammunition is lead. The ammunition is still brass plated steel cased and magnetic.
What Customers Say
Customer feedback shows a 4.32 out of 5 rating across over 269 verified reviews and growing, including over 175 five-star and growing.
Ordered a case and haven't had any issues. I do clean my firearm after hitting the range but have gone through 900 rounds with no issues. Definitely a good deal when available.
Lorne J.
Affordable and gets the job done. Had a couple failures to feed but easily fixable and prepares you in case that situation happens when SHTF.
Christopher V.
This cycles fine in my Ruger SR1911. As for accuracy, difficult to tell at 15 yards. Almost any ammo at 15 yards is going to be accurate.
Ronald P.
Is this Wolf 9mm ammo likely to be allowed at an indoor range?
It is not likely this ammunition will be allowed at an indoor range. The ammunition is magnetic, so always confirm the policy of your specific range before buying or bringing it to the firing line.
Is this brass plated steel case ammo magnetic?
Yes. The ammunition is brass plated steel cased and is magnetic. That detail matters because some ranges restrict magnetic ammunition, regardless of whether it is intended for general range or plinking use.
Is the bullet lead, or is there steel in the projectile?
The available product Q and A states that the bullet in this ammo is lead. The case is brass plated steel, and the complete cartridge is described as magnetic.
Is this ammo safe to use in a comped or ported gun?
For a comped or ported firearm, the best guidance is to contact your firearm manufacturer or a professional gunsmith. They can advise based on the exact firearm, barrel, compensator, and ammunition requirements.
What is FMJ ammo generally used for?
Full Metal Jacket ammunition is commonly chosen for practice, range sessions, and plinking. The manufacturer describes this Wolf Performance 9mm Luger load as suitable for range use, with bullets intended to fly true for practice shooting.
About Wolf Ammunition 9mm Luger
This Wolf Performance 9mm Luger ammunition is loaded with a 124 grain Full Metal Jacket bullet and a brass plated steel case. The manufacturer states it is made in Turkey at the Ozkursan plant and uses non-corrosive Boxer priming.
For shooters comparing Wolf ammo in the 9mm category, this load is positioned for range use and plinking rather than defensive carry. The brass plated steel case is an important buying detail because the ammunition is magnetic and may not meet the rules at every range, especially indoor facilities.
If you are shopping the 9mm Luger category and want Wolf Ammunition for practice, this Wolf Performance load offers a 124 grain FMJ bullet with a brass plated steel case. Choose individual boxes, case quantities, or bulk ammo options based on how often you train and your range’s ammunition rules.
